Role Purpose
Manage project contracts/subcontracts: review risks, negotiate terms, handle claims, and issue correspondence. Support Contracts Manager and project teams to ensure proper contract implementation across lifecycle.
Post-award: Administer contracts to achieve business goals.
Pre-award: Support risk register development and contract negotiations.
Key Accountabilities
- Administrating Projects’ Main Contracts.
- Issuing Contractual Correspondences.
- Issuing Detailed Claims and Variation Orders.
- Keeping logs of all Project’s correspondences, Claims, Variations, etc…
- Preparing detailed risk registers to any Contract Package at the tender stage to be communicated with the commercial department.
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions, identify risks and obligations, and ensure proper implementation of contract provisions across departments.
- Evaluate, prepare, and respond to contractual claims, variations, and time extension requests.
- Review and finalize subcontracts and supplier agreements in alignment with main contract requirements.
- Draft contractual correspondence and maintain accurate records of communications, notices, and decisions.
- Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes and support preparation for mediation, arbitration, or legal proceedings if necessary.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Ensure that contracts are administered in compliance with company policies, FIDIC standards, and Egyptian legal requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• BSc Civil Engineering and or Construction Mgmt or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of contracts experience (construction).
• Knowledge: FIDIC, EPC, design-build.
• Familiar with Egyptian law (construction).
• Strong in claims, disputes, risk analysis.
• Proficient in MS Office & contract systems.
• Strong negotiation & communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Contract courses are a plus.
