Role Purpose

To support the Project Manager in leading and coordinating all civil and architecture engineering and construction activities on-site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and quality standards. The Deputy Project Manager acts as the second-in-command, overseeing site operations, progress monitoring, resource planning, and stakeholder coordination, and ensures smooth project execution in alignment with Innovo Group’s operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support execution of civil scope in line with schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

  • Monitor site operations, productivity, and progress; resolve technical issues with engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.

  • Coordinate with planning team on schedule updates, resource allocation, and corrective actions for delays.

  • Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, QA/QC plans, and HSE standards; participate in inspections and audits.

  • Prepare progress reports, track KPIs, and maintain updated logs of site issues, RFIs, and approvals.

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for approvals, inspections, and coordination; represent Project Manager when required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Education: B.Sc. in Civil or Architecture Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in civil or architecture construction projects, with at least 3 years in a leadership or coordination role on large-scale construction sites
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of construction techniques, project management tools, and civil engineering best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6 or MS Project)
  • Knowledge: Thorough understanding of local codes, contracts (FIDIC knowledge is a plus), and permitting processes
  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards, HSE regulations, and risk mitigation practices
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
