Role Purpose

The BIM Architecture Team Leader is responsible for leading the architectural BIM team in the delivery of coordinated, high-quality BIM models and drawings across multiple construction projects. The role ensures compliance with BIM standards, project requirements, and construction methodologies while coordinating closely with structural, MEP, and site teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • BIM & Technical Leadership
  • Lead and manage the architectural BIM team across assigned projects
  • Develop, review, and maintain architectural BIM models in line with project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company BIM standards, and client specifications
  • Oversee model quality, accuracy, LOD compliance, and data integrity
  • Resolve design and modeling issues in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
  • Coordination & Collaboration
  • Coordinate architectural BIM models with structural, MEP, and other disciplines
  • Participate in clash detection meetings and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Liaise with design consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to support construction needs
  • Support shop drawings, construction sequencing, and as-built documentation
  • Project & Team Management
  • Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs
  • Mentor, train, and technically support BIM architects and modelers
  • Review team outputs and provide feedback to maintain quality standards
  • Support resource planning and workload management
  • Standards, Processes & Innovation
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and templates
  • Stay updated with BIM technologies, tools, and industry best practices
  • Support BIM implementation, automation, and digital construction initiatives

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural BIM within construction or consultancy environments
  • Proven experience leading or supervising BIM teams
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and architectural detailing
