Role Purpose

The Senior Site Engineer – Plumbing is responsible for supervising and executing plumbing works at site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and UAE authority regulations. The role ensures quality workmanship, safety compliance, and coordination with other disciplines to achieve timely project completion within agreed budget.

Key Accountabilities

Site Execution & Supervision

  • Supervise day-to-day plumbing installation works at site
  • Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment for plumbing activities
  • Ensure worker productivity is as per agreed rates
  • Ensure work progress is as per agreed targets and submit daily progress reports to the Project Engineer / Project Manager

Technical Responsibilities

  • Interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and details
  • Identify and resolve site issues, clashes, and discrepancies
  • Ensure correct installation of plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and fixtures
  • Coordinate with HVAC, Firefighting, and Electrical teams to avoid conflicts

Quality Control

  • Ensure plumbing works meet project QA/QC standards
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Prepare inspection requests (IRs) and follow up approvals
  • Support snag rectification and final handover

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure plumbing works comply with site HSE policies
  • Enforce safe work practices among workers and subcontractors
  • Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for materials and works
  • Maintain site records, daily reports, and material tracking
  • Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and handover documents
  • Liaise with consultants and authorities during inspections

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in plumbing works within construction / MEP projects
  • Prior experience in UAE projects is preferred
  • Familiarity with UAE authority requirements (DM, DEWA, ADDC, etc.).
