Site Engineer

Role Purpose
To manage on-site installation and execution of joinery and fitout works, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to project schedules and specifications.
Key Accountabilities
- Site Execution
- Supervise the installation of joinery and fitout works on site in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with foremen and subcontractors to manage daily site activities.
- Quality Control
- Inspect completed works against specifications; identify and rectify defects and snags.
- Ensure materials delivered to site meet quality requirements.
- Progress Monitoring
- Track site progress against the project schedule; report delays and propose recovery plans.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
- Health & Safety
- Enforce health and safety regulations on site; conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report incidents and near-misses promptly.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with other trades (MEP, civil, etc.) to ensure smooth workflow and resolve conflicts.
- Manage material requests and deliveries to site.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design

Minimum 3-5 years of site experience in the joinery, fitout, or construction industry

Knowledge of joinery installation methods, materials, and finishing standards

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Good communication and coordination skills

Physically fit and willing to work on construction sites
