Senior Draughtsman

Role Purpose

To produce precise technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built plans in accordance with project specifications, UAE building codes, and company quality standards. The role supports engineers, architects, and project managers in translating design concepts into detailed, executable construction documents.

Key Accountabilities

• Study the Architectural drawings for drafting shop drawings.
• Report clashes in the IFC drawings to the Architectural Engineer.
• Assist the Architectural Engineer to prepare RFIs & proposals.
• Update and modify drawings in both BIM and AutoCAD.
• Study/Coordinate the subcontractor drawings for drafting Architectural shop drawings.
• Draft the Architectural shop drawings in line with the submission schedule.
• Draft Architectural as built drawings in line with the submission schedule.
• Update shop drawings as per the consultant comments for obtaining the final approval.
• Share knowledge & communicate with other technical team members.
• Ensure strict adherence of HSE policies and procedures set
• Report HSE incidents/violations etc. to superiors on time
• Strict adherence of legal requirements

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Diploma in Civil / Architect Draftsman.
• 5 + years related working experience in well-established Contracting Companies in GCC
• Should have the ability to operate individually and under supervision
• Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, externally and internally
• Solid sense of confidentiality and discretion.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
• Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize with high attention to detail.
• Excellent PC skills including MS Office products
• Flexibility in order to adapt to varying and changing demands
