Project Engineer

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer (Agriculture) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising agricultural and softscape works within landscape projects, ensuring successful implementation of planting, irrigation systems, soil preparation, and related horticultural activities. The role ensures that all agricultural works are executed in accordance with project specifications, technical standards, and approved designs. The Project Engineer provides on-site technical support, monitors quality and progress, and coordinates with project teams, consultants, and suppliers to achieve efficient, healthy, and sustainable landscape establishment and maintenance.

Key Accountabilities

•    Supervise and manage all agricultural and softscape works including planting, soil preparation, turfing, and landscape establishment. 
•    Ensure irrigation systems, planting works, and horticultural activities are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and standards. 
•    Monitor site progress and ensure timely execution of agricultural works in line with the project schedule. 
•    Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams to resolve technical and site-related issues. 
•    Inspect plants, materials, and agricultural inputs to ensure quality, health, and compliance with project requirements. 
•    Oversee irrigation installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities. 
•    Provide technical guidance to site teams regarding planting techniques, soil conditioning, and plant care. 
•    Ensure proper handling, transportation, and storage of plants and agricultural materials. 
•    Implement pest control, fertilization, and plant maintenance programs as required. 
•    Monitor survival rates and ensure successful establishment of landscape planting works. 
•    Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site inspections, and technical documentation. 
•    Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards on site.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture, Agronomy, Landscape Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years drafting experience; infrastructure/landscape project exposure preferred.  
• Practice Engineer registration in Abu Dhabi (Mandatory
