MEP Project Engineer

Role Purpose
Ensure proper coordination within all jobs between trades in regard to MEP.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure smooth and proper coordination between all MEP working teams.
- Produce MEP coordination shop drawings through a team of coordination draftsmen.
- Guide a team of draftsmen in resolving technical issues in relation to coordination shop drawings.
- Coordinate technical and physical problems and consolidate at site.
- Raise Request for Information (RFI) and Confirmation of Verbal Instructions (CVI).
- Prepare MEP coordination shop drawings based on approved civil shop drawings.
- Prepare MEP coordination shop drawings while considering the boundaries in relation to civil elements such as slaps, sheer walls, beams, etc.
- Produce MEP coordination shop drawings while considering the requirements of Internal Design (ID) concepts.
- Combine and merge all MEP trades’ shop drawings, and ensure no conflicts or clashes occur between MEP trades; resolve any issue in MEP trades’ shop drawings.
- Ensure requirements of MEP shop drawings comply with Authorities’ requirements and regulations.
- Liaise between all MEP trades to ensure proper and smooth hand over process.
- Guide and supervise the MEP Coordinators’ work.
- Ensure that all established HSE & Quality policies are administered and enforced in all areas.
- Report all violations and resolved on time
- Effective implementation of HSE Management system as per HSE procedures

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor /Masters Degree in Mechanical/electrical Engineering from a reputable university or colleges.
- 7 + years related working experience in well-established Contracting Companies in GCC; worked as MEP Engineer for at least 3 years.
- Has been responsible for major construction of multimillions projects.
- Knowledge about BIM
- Must have proven leadership ability, communications skills, interpersonal skills and sound judgment.
- Must be able to develop strong relationships and accounts with clients.
- A creative thinker and excellent organizer.
- Knowledge of Business Strategy and planning
- Ensures administrative efficiency, proper procedure, implementation of policies
Excellent Oral and written skill in English.
