Role Purpose
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for establishing, defining, and embedding the Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework, principles, and governance model. The role will provide a clear, business-aligned architectural foundation that enables modernisation, operational stability, and long-term scalability. The role also leads and develops a small team of domain architects ensuring architectural alignment across initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, deep architectural expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement, operating in an environment where EA maturity is evolving.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish EA maturity baseline and improvement plans
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of domain architects
- Design and implement the EA framework across; business capability, application, data and integration, technology & infrastructure
- Tailor industry frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent) to suit organisational context and maturity
- Define EA artefacts, processes, and governance suitable for a growing organisation.
- Define and run EA principles, governance processes, standards and design guidelines.
- Define current-state and target-state architectures, supported by pragmatic transition roadmaps
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring consistency and reuse across solutions
- Identify and manage technical debt and legacy constraints
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related discipline
- 10-15 years in IT, with strong experience in enterprise architecture
- Proven experience establishing EA frameworks from scratch
- Experience working with ERP and enterprise platforms
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or equivalent)
- Experience working with cloud, hybrid and composable architectures, data, analytics and integration platforms and security architecture fundementals
- Strong understanding of architecture layers, target and current-state architectures
- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
