Draughtsman

Role Purpose

To produce detailed technical and shop drawings for joinery components and fitout elements based on design concepts and specifications, supporting accurate manufacturing and site installation. 

Key Accountabilities

Drawing Production 

Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details using AutoCAD. 

Develop drawing packages for manufacturing and site teams based on approved designs. 

Technical Accuracy 

Ensure all drawings are dimensionally accurate and comply with project specifications. 

Incorporate material specifications, hardware details, and joinery construction methods into drawings. 

Revisions & Coordination 

Update drawings promptly based on design changes, RFIs, and site feedback. 

Coordinate with designers, project managers, and site engineers to resolve drawing-related queries. 

Documentation 

Maintain an organised filing system for all project drawings and revisions. 

Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, or Interior Design 

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in drafting for joinery, fitout, or construction projects 

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) 

Knowledge of joinery materials, construction methods, and hardware 

Strong attention to detail and accuracy 

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
