Senior Quantity Surveying Engineer - Tendering

Role Purpose

Responsible for supporting the pre-contract commercial activities of construction projects through accurate quantity take-offs. This role involves assisting in the preparation of detailed quantity take-offs from tender drawings, analysing project specifications. Additionally, it includes ensuring all tender documentation is complete and aligned with project requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Review tender drawings and documents, raising necessary queries to clarify scope and address any gaps in information.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs in accordance with drawings and project specifications.
• Calculate steel ratios and formwork quantities for all concrete items within the BOQ.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in preparing and developing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Maintain well-organized and properly documented records for tendering purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed quantity reports for various types of projects (residential, commercial, industrial, etc.).

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of solid experience in quantity surveying.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Proficiency in Plan swift Software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in English.
