Senior Infrastructure BIM Modeler

Role Purpose

The Senior BIM Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the development, coordination, and management of BIM models and digital engineering deliverables for infrastructure projects. The role involves leading BIM implementation for civil and infrastructure disciplines, ensuring model accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and effective multidisciplinary coordination. The engineer will support project teams throughout design and construction phases while contributing to BIM standards, workflows, and innovation initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Develop and manage BIM models for infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, utilities, drainage networks, railways, airports, and site development works.
Produce and review 3D models, drawings, schedules, and BIM deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure models meet the required Level of Development (LOD) and project standards.
Integrate survey, GIS, and design data into BIM environments.
Support design teams in model-based design development and technical coordination.
Coordinate infrastructure models with architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, and other disciplines.
Perform clash detection and model validation using BIM coordination tools.
Participate in design review and coordination meetings.
Resolve interdisciplinary conflicts and technical issues affecting project delivery.
Support the implementation of Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
Ensure timely delivery of BIM models, drawings, reports, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress and coordinate BIM activities with project teams.
Assist in developing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), model management procedures, and project workflows.
Support project managers and discipline leads in achieving project objectives.
Participate in construction support activities and model-based issue resolution.
Conduct quality control reviews of BIM models and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with client BIM requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.
Maintain model integrity, data accuracy, and document control procedures.
Support BIM audits and project quality reviews.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Engineers and BIM Modelers.
Assist in the development of BIM standards, templates, object libraries, and workflows.
Support the implementation of automation tools and digital engineering initiatives.
Stay informed about emerging BIM technologies and infrastructure modeling practices.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and BIM implementation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working on BIM-based infrastructure projects.
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, utilities, stormwater networks, railways, airports, or urban development projects.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering or construction environments.
