Senior BIM Coordinator

Role Purpose

Deliver high-quality BIM Models, drawings, and coordination for projects, and act as a technical reference in the BIM Field for the team.

Key Accountabilities

Planning

Confirm the validation of usage of the received design models in the model development phase to LOD 350-400 or to create Models from scratch.

Follow the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and the engineering plan.

Production

Study the project documents (Design Drawings, BOQ, Specifications, …etc.).

Create Revit Templates according to the project’s needs.

Validate the Revit contents “Families” according to Innovo Standards.

Prepare Visual Coordination / Clash reports.

Prepare Audit reports for BIM Models (Model Health, Quality, Coordination).

Reviewing

Responsible for the consistency of work (BIM Standards compliance, Naming Convention, Folder Structure…. Etc.) for all BIM Unit members.

Ensure that the BIM Models are following Innovo BIM Standards and procedures on a daily basis.

Perform all quality checks for BIM process, workflow, and BIM Models.

Prepare 4D and 5D Models before any submission if needed.

Review the clash reports, classify the results, and assign the issues to those who are concerned.

Review and record BIM delivery lessons learned with the project team.

Interfacing

Attend BIM coordination workshops with BIM Deputy Manager and BIM Team Leaders for all disciplines, and report progress with BIM Manager & Line Managers.

Ensure that all processes on Autodesk Construction Cloud are working properly without any delays.

Quality

Quality checking on BIM model elements, including families.

Assuring that the BIM Model is following the Project Standards.

Assuring that Everyone is following their assigned roles and workflows.

Quality checking that the Extracted Information has no missing Information.

Assuring that Extracted Information follows the Standards.

Software Development & Automation

Develop custom BIM add-ins, scripts, and extensions using Revit API, Dynamo, Python, C#, or other programming tools.

Automate repetitive tasks, parameter management, data extraction, and model validation processes.

Create rule-based checking tools for QA/QC and model compliance.

BIM Data Management

Build data pipelines between BIM platforms and databases, dashboards, or cloud systems.

Integrate BIM with ERP, GIS, Common Data Environments (CDE), digital twins, and asset management software.

Support interoperability using IFC, BCF, COBie, ISO 19650 metadata, and openBIM standards.

Maintain standard data schemas, naming conventions, and metadata structures.

R&D and Innovation

Identify opportunities for digital transformation within engineering workflows.

Prototype new digital products, automation libraries, and machine learning enhancements for model analysis.

Supervision

Responsible for supervision of all projects according to the project’s scope of work.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in BIM Management process, ideally within the construction industry.
• Experience in software development lifecycles (Git, testing, version control) is a plus
• A minimum of +5 years’ experience.
