Role Purpose

To manage and control the flow, storage, and issuance of materials at site or warehouse in alignment with project schedules and procurement plans. The Material Controller ensures accurate inventory tracking, timely material availability, and coordination between procurement, site teams, and suppliers to avoid delays and maintain cost-effective operations.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Inbound/Outbound Control: Monitor & control material flow vs. project requests.

  • ERP Maintenance: Maintain accurate real-time inventory records in SAP.

  • Logistics Coordination: Align with Procurement/WH for timely delivery & storage.

  • Quality Inspection: Inspect receipts for Qty/Qual; report damages/shortages.

  • Stock Monitoring: Track stock levels & consumption; trigger replenishment.

  • Material Issuance: Issue stock to site teams via approved SAP requisitions.

  • Warehouse Standards: Maintain safe, organized, and accessible storage areas.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare usage logs, aging analysis, and stock reports.

  • Inventory Accuracy: Conduct cycle counts & physical audits; reconcile variances.

  • Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with QA/QC, Engineers, and Vendors on QC issues.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Education: Bachelar Degree of Commerce or equivelent 
  • Experience: 5+ yrs Material Control/WH; Construction preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Expert in INV control, storage & handling-
  • Software: Proficient in MS Excel & SAP/ERP systems.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge of Civil/Mech/Elec materials.
