Role Purpose
To manage and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities across assigned projects, ensuring proper planning, execution, and delivery in line with Innovo Build Egypt’s quality, safety, and budgetary standards. The MEP Project Manager coordinates between design, construction, and subcontractor teams to achieve successful project completion and integration of MEP systems within the overall project scope.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, manage, and execute all MEP construction activities from initiation to project handover.
- Review MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.
- Coordinate with the civil, architectural, and other technical teams to ensure proper interface and sequencing of works.
- Manage subcontractors’ performance, progress, and quality, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.
- Supervise MEP installation, testing, and commissioning activities in coordination with QA/QC and safety teams.
- Review and approve MEP materials, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Monitor project costs and variations, providing technical input and support to the cost control and planning teams.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and ensure quality of workmanship.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, technical updates, and performance assessments to the Project Manager and management.
- Identify and resolve MEP-related technical issues promptly to avoid project delays.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal departments to ensure timely approvals and smooth project delivery.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in MEP construction, including at least 3 years in a project management or senior site leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning processes.
- Proven experience managing large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office applications.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- Strong understanding of cost management, project planning, and contract administration.
- Thorough knowledge of MEP codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in English.
