Role Purpose

The Civil/Architecture Deputy Estimation Manager (Civil/Architecture Background) is responsible for managing and leading the Civil/Architecture estimation process for Innovo Group’s Tendering Department. The role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for Civil/Architecture work, coordinating with relevant departments, and ensuring timely submission of compliant bids. This position plays a vital role in securing successful tenders by delivering cost-effective solutions aligned with the company’s business strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Tender & Estimation Management: Lead and manage the full estimation cycle for Civil/Architecture works, including bid preparation, submission, and post-submission clarifications.
  • Review and analyze tender documents, including specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contract conditions, to identify key requirements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop, validate, and finalize cost estimates, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with tendering requirements.
  • Provide value engineering proposals where appropriate to enhance cost efficiency and project feasibility.
  • Team & Resource Leadership: Manage, mentor, and supervise the Civil/Architecture estimation team within the Tendering Department.
  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple tenders to meet strict deadlines.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews with the team to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency in submissions.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers during the tendering phase.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Procurement, Planning, and Business Development to support bid preparation.
  • Represent the company in Civil/Architecture-related tender clarification meetings, site visits, and discussions.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil or architecture engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Civil/Architecture estimation and tendering within the construction sector.
  • Proven track record in projects with large-scale building works or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tendering laws, FIDIC contracts, and international best practices.
  • Previous experience with reputable contractors in Egypt.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and cost estimation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written).
