Role Purpose
The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating all electrical works on site to ensure timely and quality execution of projects in compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, grounding, etc.).
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure proper implementation on site.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines (civil, mechanical) to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progress aligns with project schedule.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Verify quantities and prepare material requisitions as per project needs.
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support and solutions as required.
- Ensure proper documentation of electrical work, test results, and site changes (as-built drawings).
- Ensure that all works are executed in accordance with the project’s safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate site records including material deliveries, work progress, and inspection logs.
- Accountable for handing over materials and completed works to the consultant.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in site execution of electrical works in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and site practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux is a plus).
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and international standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
