BIM Team Leader

Role Purpose

The BIM Mechanical Team Leader is responsible for leading the mechanical BIM team in the development, coordination, and management of mechanical systems models and documentation for construction projects. The role ensures that all BIM deliverables meet project standards, deadlines, and align with the company’s digital construction strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Technical Support: Assist in technical operations related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems, supporting compliance with project requirements.
• Revise coordination drawings (or composite drawing) based on project’s design drawings in accurate with quality standard.
• Obtain and assemble all technical information, data, and drawings needed from relevant departments for full coordination of Shop Drawing across the Civil/Structure, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) designs.
• Attending project meetings with architects and other disciplines.
• Management of project outputs such as drawings or 3D documents (plans, sections, tables, etc.).
• Critical analysis of building regulations and other building codes.
• Manage and maintain the BIM model, keeping it up to date with the latest design changes.
• Collaboration and continuous support in the work team.
• Perform quality control checks on BIM models and drawings.
• Prepares and checks the Bills of Quantity MEP systems as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in mechanical design and BIM within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in leading BIM teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related BIM software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360 / ACC, and Dynamo is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical systems design, coordination, and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
