Quality Inspector

Role Purpose

To oversee and inspect all site activities in accordance with the Project Quality Plan (PQP), approved shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, ensuring full compliance with specified quality requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise all site activities carried out by INNOVO and its subcontractors.
  • Oversee all site inspections prior to submitting inspection requests to the consultant.
  • Monitor site activities closely to ensure work is executed in compliance with approved shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Ensure that all activities submitted for inspection are supported by approved shop drawings, method statements, and inspection and test plans.
  • Inspect concrete pouring activities to confirm that all required tests are conducted in accordance with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Support the QA/QC Engineer in closing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensuring corrective actions are implemented in line with the approved quality plan, project specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Ensure that all site quality control documents remain current and are not obsolete.
  • Inspect materials delivered to site to verify compliance with approved material submittals and ensure storage is carried out in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Report HSE incidents and violations to superiors in a timely manner.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
  • Drive innovation and encourage continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all required levels.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and across site environments, including manual and workshop settings.
  • Physically capable of climbing ladders and scaffolding, walking on rebar mesh, and navigating ramps and other unstable surfaces.
