Senior Site Superintendent (Infrastructure)

Role Purpose

To lead and control all MEP site execution activities (MEP/utility diversions, temporary and permanent services, plantroom installations, external networks, interface works) ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and quality standards, on programme, and within approved resources. The role drives daily production, site coordination, subcontractor management, and disciplined compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and permit requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead day-to-day MEP site execution in line with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and programme. 
  • Manage MEP subcontractors, supervisors/foremen and workforce to achieve productivity, quality, and milestone targets. 
  • Coordinate interfaces and sequencing with civil/structural/other trades to avoid clashes and delays. 
  • Drive lookaheads, progress tracking and reporting, escalating constraints early with corrective actions/recovery plans. 
  • Enforce strict HSE compliance (PTW, toolbox talks, risk controls) and stop unsafe work immediately. 
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance, inspection readiness, punch/NCR closure, and “right first time” delivery. 
  • Coordinate materials, logistics, and plant/equipment requirements to maintain continuous work fronts. 
  • Support technical delivery via RFI/clash identification, site coordination, redlines/as-builts, and testing/hand-over readiness. 

 

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • 10+ years overall MEP site experience within construction/infrastructure projects. 
  • 5+ years in a Superintendent/General Foreman level role managing MEP teams and subcontractors. 
  • Proven delivery experience on UAE infrastructure projects (utilities corridors, pump stations, networks, site-wide services, temporary services, testing support). 
  • Strong working knowledge of shop drawings, ITPs, method statements, inspections, and site coordination. 
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant technical discipline (preferred). 
  • Trade background with strong MEP experience may be accepted with proven track record.
