Senior Energy Engineer

Role Purpose

The Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of temporary power systems, construction energy optimization, energy monitoring, and innovation initiatives across INNOVO projects. The role provides technical expertise, conducts engineering studies and analysis, coordinates with stakeholders, and supports implementation of sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions. 

Key Accountabilities

Support the Energy Team leader in achieving departmental objectives.

Coordinate energy-related activities across projects.

Coordinate with MEP coordination department and Sustainability department.

Develop strong relationships with suppliers and partners to identify emerging solutions that benefit the business.

Perform temporary power studies, energy optimization assessments, and energy audits.

Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and technical recommendations.

Support renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives.

Monitor energy consumption and identify efficiency opportunities.

Verify effectiveness of implemented energy-saving initiatives.

Coordinate with Project Teams, Plant, Procurement, Tendering and Sustainability Teams.

Support evaluation of innovative construction energy technologies.

Prepare monthly reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries.

Maintain records of energy consumption and savings.

Comply with company HSE and Sustainability policies and contribute to maintaining a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace.

Adhere to Quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business performance.

Drive innovation and encourage continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years GCC experience with 5-8 overall experience.
• Work experience in Construction projects power management, Temporary power supply works with Contractors or Companies dealing with temporary power supply.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, solar hybrid solutions, temporary power systems, medium voltage network, centralized power plant and energy-efficiency technologies.
• Knowledge of HSE standards, Operational hazards and controls, International HSE standards.
• MS Office, Power BI (preferred), AutoCAD/Revit (preferred). 
• Fluent in spoken and written English
