Role Purpose
To support the delivery of accurate and timely land surveying services across Infrastructure projects through field measurements, setting out, levelling, and survey data recording. The role ensures survey activities are carried out safely and precisely, that instruments are properly maintained and calibrated, and that reliable survey records are available to support construction teams in executing works in line with design drawings and project requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Field Survey Support
- Assist with field measurements, setting out, and levelling activities on site.
- Operate basic survey instruments under supervision and record field data accurately.
- Data Processing Support
- Support processing of survey data and preparation of as-built records.
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration records are up to date.
- Setting-Out Assistance
- Assist with marking out reference points, grids, and levels for civil and infrastructure works.
- Verify setting-out points against design drawings before handover to construction teams.
- Survey Equipment Handling
- Assist in the safe transport, setup, and storage of survey instruments on site.
- Report instrument faults or damage promptly to the Land Surveyor.
- Site Documentation Support
- Maintain field notebooks and survey logs in line with project record-keeping requirements.
- Support preparation of daily survey progress records for site reporting.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Diploma in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of survey support experience, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to site setting-out and field data collection activities
- Basic understanding of surveying principles, levelling, and setting-out methods
- Awareness of reading and interpreting design drawings and coordinates
- Familiarity with site HSE requirements related to survey field work
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail in field measurements
- Ability to operate basic survey instruments (total station, level, GPS) under supervision
- Basic proficiency in MS Office; exposure to AutoCAD an advantage
- Good communication and teamwork skills for coordinating with site teams
