Chief Land Surveyor

Role Purpose

Lead all surveying operations to support safe, accurate setting-out and verification for roads, utilities, structures, and earthworks, ensuring compliance with design tolerances and authority requirements. 

Key Accountabilities

• Manage survey teams and oversee setting-out, as-built surveys, and quality checks.  
• Establish survey control networks, benchmarks, and calibration/verification routines.  
• Coordinate with engineering/site teams on alignment, levels, and tolerances.  
• Produce survey reports, as-built drawings/data, and support handover deliverables.  
• Manage survey equipment, maintenance, and survey method statements.  

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years; 3–5 years leading survey teams on infrastructure projects.  
• Strong in total station/GNSS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D (preferred), QA documentation.
