Chief Accountant

Role Purpose

Lead financial governance, reporting, and controls for infrastructure projects and business unit operations, ensuring accurate financial statements, cashflow oversight, compliance, and audit readiness. 

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee month-end close, GL integrity, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.  
• Consolidate project financials (costs, revenue, margins) and prepare management reporting.  
• Control AP/AR, cashflow forecasting, payment prioritisation, and collections support.  
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/company policy and VAT documentation (where applicable).  
• Lead budgeting/forecasting support for projects with PM/QS teams.  
• Manage audits and implement internal controls and process improvements

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA/CPA/CMA preferred.  
• 10–15+ years finance experience; 5+ years in contracting/infrastructure.  
• Strong ERP and advanced Excel; audit leadership experience.
